What Imaginary Jesus do you relate too?
ReplyDeleteI am getting to know the ones Matt has introduced so far and I can see myself involved with different ones at different points in my life...Political...Liberal Social Services...Bargain...
So bummed I am missing all your coffee talks, but I finished the book. Many more imaginary Jesuses(is this a word) appear some laughable, so too close to home.
ReplyDeleteThe book really reminded me to remember that along the way in any persons walk with Christ - we are all mislead. It was good for me to read this, because the judgmental Jesus that I sometimes cling to does hold on tightly. :( In the end I think it is natural for all Christians to face these imaginary Jesuses and healthy for us to have to recognize them as we grow in our faith.
I'm pretty happy I have never met the Testosterone Jesus - who dog piles people. That would for sure freak me out. :)
Happy reading...
